Futna is a platform for watching and sharing gaming clips. This page explains plainly what we collect, why, and what we don't.
What we collect
When you create an account: your email, display name and a hashed password (we store a one-way hash — the password itself cannot be recovered from it). As you use the app: your likes, comments, follows, and which clips you watched, so the For You feed can be ranked around your interests.
Linking your Medal account
If you link Medal, we read only your public profile page there: username, avatar, profile description (to verify ownership through a temporary code) and your publicly posted clips. We never ask for your Medal password and never access private content. Clips stay hosted by Medal with visible attribution and a link to the original.
Audio and video you upload
When you make a remix you may record a voiceover or upload a reaction video from your device. That content is stored on our servers to play it back in the app, and is permanently deleted when you delete the remix or your account. The microphone is used only while you hold the record button.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we store an anonymous device identifier from Apple solely to deliver them. You can turn them off any time in your device settings, and we drop the identifier automatically once it stops working.
Who we share with
We don't sell your data and don't share it for advertising. We use technical service providers only to run the app: hosting, database and file storage (Google Cloud, Neon), notification delivery (Apple), and GIF search (GIPHY — which receives your search text only, not your identity).
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your data and files are removed from our systems immediately; technical backups may retain copies briefly before being rotated out automatically.
Your rights
You can change your name and password in Settings, delete any clip, remix or comment you posted, and delete your entire account from Settings → Delete account. Or email us and we'll do it for you.
Children
The app is rated 17+ and is not directed at anyone under that age. If we learn of an account belonging to someone younger, we will delete it.
